The entire team at John Arbon Textiles did a fantastic job and it was a real pleasure to work with them. I am therefore delighted to show you the patterns that will be published in this issue, which has a seaside theme.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Voici Zarauz Tee<\/em> d’Esti Juango<\/a>. Zarauz est un village de la c\u00f4te basque espagnole. Ce design est un joli top ray\u00e9 qui se tricote lat\u00e9ralement et, comme vous le voyez sur la photo, The Annual 5<\/em> vous en propose plusieurs versions : fils, couleurs, longueurs, il y en a pour tous les looks et les go\u00fbts ! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is<\/em> Zarauz Tee. Zarauz is a village on the Spanish Basque coast. This design of Esti Juango<\/a> is a pretty striped top that is knitted sideways and, as you can see in the photo, <\/em>The Annual 5 offers several versions: yarns, colours, lengths, there is something for every look and taste!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laura Penrose<\/a> est le designer de Saunton Sands Shawl<\/em> inspir\u00e9 des parasols. Lui aussi se tricote lat\u00e9ralement et vous pouvez tricoter une version avec ou sans franges. Joli, non ? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laura Penrose<\/a> is the designer of this <\/em>Saunton Sands Shawl, inspired by parasols. It is also knitted sideways, and you can knit a version with or without fringes. Pretty, isn’t it?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

J’adore les petites cr\u00e9atures de Cinthia Vallet<\/a> ! Vous connaissez s\u00fbrement son livre Mouche et ses amis<\/a> ? Cinthia cr\u00e9e des petites poup\u00e9es en tricot \u00e0 l’effigie d’animaux ; Mouche est un ours qui a plein d’amis \u00e0 la garde-robe bien fournie et adorable. Pour The Annual<\/em>, Cinthia a agrandi le cercle des amis de Mouche avec une petite famille de rats d’eau : voici Benjamin, son fr\u00e8re Mo et GrandMa. Ils ne sont pas mignons avec leurs costumes ray\u00e9s et leurs cir\u00e9s ? Moi, je craque… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love Cinthia Vallet<\/a>‘s little creatures! You’ve probably heard of her book Mouche and Friends<\/a>? Cinthia creates little knitted dolls modelled on animals; Mouche is a bear who has lots of friends with well-stocked wardrobes and adorable outfits. For <\/em>The Annual, Cinthia has expanded Mouche’s circle of friends with a little family of watervole: meet Benjamin, his brother Mo, and GrandMa. Aren’t they cute in their striped outfits and raincoats? <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Voici Woolacombe Waffle<\/em> d’Helena Timms<\/a> qui s’inspire des ice-creams qu’on d\u00e9guste sur la plage ! Ce bonnet imite le c\u00f4ne de glace et vous \u00eates invit\u00e9s \u00e0 choisir la couleur de votre parfum de glace pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 pour le pompon ; amusant non ? Et tr\u00e8s joli! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Introducing <\/em>Woolacombe Waffle by Helena Timms<\/a>, inspired by ice creams enjoyed on the beach! This hat mimics an ice cream cone, and you can choose the colour of your favourite ice cream flavour for the pompom \u2013 fun, isn’t it?<\/em> And very pretty<\/em>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Et enfin, le voici, mon ch\u00e2le La Baule<\/em> ! On ne pr\u00e9sente plus cette plage c\u00e9l\u00e8bre qui est aussi un souvenir d’enfance pour moi puisque je passais quelques jours chaque \u00e9t\u00e9 dans le petit village d’\u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9. L’inspiration m’est donc vite venue en me rappelant les rayures des cabines de bain et des parasols, les voiles des bateaux et le sable fin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And finally, here it is, my <\/em>La Baule shawl! This famous beach needs no introduction and is also a childhood memory for me, as I used to spend a few days there every summer in the little village next door. Inspiration came quickly as I remembered the stripes on the bathing huts and parasols, the sails of the boats and the fine sand.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le r\u00e9sultat est un ch\u00e2le en trois parties en forme de triangle avec un jeu dynamique de rayures, le tout cern\u00e9 d’une bordure en i-cord. J’ai ador\u00e9 cr\u00e9er ce mod\u00e8le dans les coloris joyeux de la Knit By Numbers DK. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The result is a three-part triangular shawl with a dynamic striped pattern, edged with an i-cord border. I loved creating this design in the cheerful colours of Knit By Numbers DK.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And John Arbon’s team offers a very interesting variation in the softer tones of Appledore DK quality; the effect is completely different but just as appealing.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
